Hi, I’m Colleen — a trained End-of-Life Doula and Ceremonialist offering compassionate care and companionship through life’s most tender transitions. My work weaves together end-of-life education, after-death guidance, and sacred rites of passage.
Raised near the southwestern edge of the Adirondack Park and rooted in the Tri-Lakes region since 2015, I’ve long been drawn to beauty, connection, and ritual during life’s hardships. My journey has taken me across South and Southeast Asia by bicycle, and deep into community and ceremony here at home — all shaping how I hold space for death, grief, and transformation.
Sacred Explorations grew from my own experiences of depression, healing, and rediscovering the power of community and meaning-making. Through hospice work, doula training, and a lifelong relationship with ceremony, I now accompany others with presence, care, and reverence.
Whether you’re navigating loss, preparing for end-of-life, or honoring a transition, I’m here to walk beside you — to soften the path with beauty, belonging, and deep listening.
Thank you for considering making me a part of your journey!
I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Environmental Studies (2012–2016) and bring a decade of experience grounded in death care, community connection, and environmental stewardship. Since completing my Death Doula training in 2019, I’ve continued to deepen my work through Home Funeral and Green Burial training, certification in Advance Care Planning through Respecting Choices, and additional courses such as the Herbal Toolkit for End-of-Life Care and A Sacred Passing’s Washing and Shrouding. I served as a Hospice and Bereavement Volunteer from 2019 to 2022, and currently support families as a Spiritual Care Provider with High Peaks Hospice. I also coordinate a conservation natural burial ground, offer ministerial services as an ordained Universal Life Church Minister, and guide others through ceremonies and transitions. In 2021, I founded the Adirondack Death Care Community to foster local collaboration and education, and I’m an active member of the National End-of-Life Doula Association. My work continues to be guided by compassion, presence, and a deep commitment to reweaving death care into community life.
